The word cosplay combines the words costume and play. This costume trend originated from Japanese pop-culture. In the 1990´s the trend stretched from Asia to the United States and Europe. Cosplayers are people who dress like fictitious characters. They choose a character out of movies, video games, or Mangas and try to represent it as well as possible.
