My photographs in the series »Encased« were taken during the Corona lockdown at the beginning of 2021, a time marked by distance and restrictions on contact. One feels locked in, isolated, frozen, gasping for air, longing to breathe freely again. The Covid-19 pandemic seems to have become a season of its own that never ends. With abstract pictures, I deal with the theme of being locked up in Corona times in an allegorical and aesthetic way.
